Description |
The Woodford Foundation is a new charity, established in 2004, dedicated to supporting developments for children and young adults with sensory impairments in income-poor countries. Working with partners, both in the UK and in Africa, we have already been able to support projects in Tanzania, Malawi and Uganda.
This is Woodford's first appointment and you will be responsible for helping the trustees to develop the work programme and acquire the income necessary for its implementation. You must have a successful fundraising record within the field of overseas development, and experience in voluntary sector management would be an advantage. The first task will be the production of a funding strategy to enable us to fulfil our aspirations during the next few years. An ability to write persuasive bids is essential, linked to a drive and personality that will raise the profile of the charity and its work, and ensure its healthy growth.
