HR Reward Administrators x 2

Based Oxford
Salary £16,380 – £21,000 pa
Basis Full Time

Closing Date 22 July 2009
Description
HR Reward Administrators x 2
Oxford
£16,380 – £21,000 pa

Most organisations would say it’s important to look after their employees. But at Oxfam, it runs a whole lot deeper than that. The millions living in poverty around the world depend on their emergency relief efforts and long-term development work. Which is why our HR team has such a crucial role to play. It’s also a big part of what makes Oxfam such a rewarding place to establish your HR career.

The role
In what could well be your first step in to HR, you’ll gain valuable skills and experience that will set you up for an exciting career ahead. Around fifty per cent of your time you’ll spend talking to our employees around the world, gathering information to keep our payroll accurate and up-to-date. The other half, you’ll dedicate to our pension schemes in the UK. Here, the work you do will be largely admin based, but it’s a great way to learn about different kinds of pension schemes out there and the policies that surround them.

What we’re looking for
One thing you don’t need is actual HR experience. So long as you’re quick and eager to learn, we’ll give you all the training you need. To make the most of this exciting opportunity, however, you will need to be highly organised with an eagle eye for detail. From a practical standpoint, you must also know your way around a PC. But most of all, you’ve got to be great with people - whether you’re dealing with them face-to-face, via email or over the phone.

About Oxfam
A simple, inescapable truth underlines everything we do at Oxfam. There’s enough wealth in this world to go around. It’s not unfortunate that people live in poverty. It’s unjustifiable. And it’s not just their problem. It’s ours too. At Oxfam we believe that with the right support, we can beat poverty and injustice. More than 8,000 people already commit their time and talents to our campaigning, humanitarian and long-term development projects. Now we’re looking for yours.
