Description |
Victim Care Officer - Wigan £17,510 per annum + 5% non-contributory pension 37.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri, between 8am – 8pm) Ref: VCO/SW/11/09
You will contribute to improving the level and quality of contact with victims of crime by assessing their need and when necessary commissioning a range of appropriate services. You will also be responsible for ensuring that victims' identified needs have been met satisfactorily. You will make referrals to other agencies and contract approved service suppliers to deliver these services in line with agreed procedures.
You will be highly self-motivated, able to liaise with all other partner organisations in dealing appropriately with all referrals and work largely unsupervised.
You will be willing to or already have undertaken Victim Support Training and this will be supported by appropriate experience. A good level of computer literacy including word processing, statistical recording, e-mail and Internet is also required.
