Here’s a fresh thought. Retail management with real responsibility. While you’ll take your lead from the Shop Manager, we’ll give you lots of room to develop and implement your own ideas. So if you think you know a good way to increase sales or attract volunteers, you can be sure we want to hear about it. In fact, when it comes to recruiting new Shop Managers, the ambition and enthusiasm you show in this role will put you in a good position – giving you real scope to develop your career in retail management.
Be yourself
More than any other one quality, it’s your enthusiasm that will make you a great Deputy Shop Manager. Make no mistake, experience or knowledge of the retail environment would be really useful. But if you can show us natural leadership ability, commercial flair and a genuine desire to learn the ropes, you’re just the sort of person we’re looking for. Determined to stop poverty in its tracks, your drive will come from knowing that every sale you make, no matter how small, is enough to make a difference.
