Description |
If you combine solid administrative experience with excellent IT and organisational skills, this is your opportunity to build your knowledge of the events industry in a unique and inspiring environment.
With four stunning locations at the heart of a World Heritage Site, the National Maritime Museum offers a distinctive and memorable event venue. As we approach the 2012 Olympics, we’re determined to raise the Museum’s profile still further – and we need you play a key role in making our ambitious plans a reality.
You’ll get involved in all areas of the team’s work: handling enquiries by phone and email, co-ordinating the sales process, dealing with filming requests, managing bookings, keeping records up-to-date, providing all-round administrative support to the department and plenty more. What’s important is that you can get stuck into whatever needs doing to keep the office running smoothly.
While a qualification or experience in events would be useful, it’s not essential as long as you’ve a real passion to develop a career in this sector and first rate administration skills. You must also be a strong communicator who can deal with all kinds of people. If you can bring a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise your own workload too, we’ll give you the support you need to develop your skills.
